IS LIZZY AN ERP SYSTEM OR A CRM SYSTEM?

Before we get started with answering this question, lets first take a look at what both CRM and ERP actually mean and what each one does for your business. Lets start with ERP.

ERP – Enterprise Resource Planning:

An ERP system has the basic over arching goal of managing all of the data that moves through or is retained by a business. The ERP system may or may not be the entire software application suite used by a company, but might instead be connections between disjointed applications that enable information collected in lets say an invoicing system to be shared with information that is created and maintained in an inventory system. These systems could be written by two different companies and normally have no way to talk to each other. But a good ERP system could provide a standard interface that could be used to combine data from otherwise disjointed systems.

At the same time, an ERP system could in fact be a system that comprises all of the areas of a company and supplies each needed module throughout. It then provides the necessary interfaces to combine the data between different departments and provides a standardized interface to help communicate the recorded data to whomever needs it.

CRM – Customer Relationship Management:

A CRM system is really only a piece of the bigger ERP system. It comprises only the customer management piece for logging phone calls, tracking emails, sales and other general aspects of a relationship
between a customer and a company. In comparison this is a much smaller piece and while a very important piece, doesn’t really have the capacity to deal with an entire company on its own.

Lizzy – ERP and CRM:

One of the most powerful aspects of Lizzy is its ability to handle so much more than just CRM. With Inventory Control, Invoicing, Scheduling, Service, Serialized Units, Payroll and full blown double entry accounting built right in, Lizzy could be consider both CRM and ERP built into one completely integrated system. So while we do market Lizzy’s CRM capabilities, the majority of our customers use it to run their entire companies. In fact, we run nizeX, Inc. 100% off of Lizzy’s fully Integrated abilities.

Another aspect of Lizzy is that we do offer customized integration to other business units. This enables Lizzy to talk directly with unrelated software programs that may be used in other parts of your business. While we do not focus all of our energy on this aspect, it is available for those having special needs. This aspect brings Lizzy fully under the ERP umbrella.
